CLASSIC JERUSALEM
A wonderful view over the ancient and the new city from Mount Zofim or Mount of Olives, entrance to the ancient city and a visit of the various quarters – the Jewish Quarter, the Cardo, the Hurva Synagogue, the Western Wall. We proceed to the market in the Ancient City and to a tour of Via Dolorosa (crucifixion) of Jesus to reach the Church the grave. We will visit the world’s most important church. We end with a mounted patrol (vehicle) in the new city and a visit to Yad Vashem (Holocaust Museum).
A JOURNEY IN THE FOOTSTEPS OF JESUS IN JERUSALEM
We begin with a wonderful view of the city from the Mount of Olives. A walking decent from the mountain through the Church of Dominus Flawhit (The Lord Wept), Gethsemane, Kidron Valley, the Western Wall, the Ancient City Market, Via Dolorosa, the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, The Jewish Quarter, Mount Zion, Tomb of King David, the Cenacle, and the Church of Dormition.
JERUSALEM IN THE JEWISH TRADITION
We begin with a wonderful view of the city from the Mount of Olives. Proceed to a tour of Mount Zofim and David’s Tomb, the Jewish-Quarter Cardo, the main square; wall of Hezekiah, Hurva Synagogue, and The Western Wall. Visit to the Davidson Center – Wailing Wall excavations, visit the City of David. Drive to the new city and a visit to Yad Vashem (Holocaust Museum).
THE GALILEE AND THE SEA OF GALILEE, THE CHRISTIANITY PATH
Drive to Nazareth; View of the Mount Megiddo, the place of war between the sons of light and the darkness according to the New Testament. Nazareth in Galilee is the place where Jesus lived most of his life. We visit the Basilica of the Annunciation and the Church of St. Joseph. Drive to the village of Qana and pass through it on our way. That is the village in which Jesus has performed his first miracle at the wedding, converting 6 barrels of water into wine. We arrive on Tabha area in which Jesus has resided in three years of his mission. A visit to the Church of the Loaves and fishes where Jesus has fed 5,000 people with two fish and five loafs of bread. We continue and visit to Village Naum, with the famous sign – The Hometown of Jesus. Home of the mother-in-law of Peter, where Jesus has lived, and to the Great synagogue in the village. Then we visit Yardenit site, on the bank of the Jordan River – the nearest place to the baptism of Christ by John the Baptist.
A TOUR IN THE GOLAN HEIGHTS
Traveling and getting to the Sea of Galilee. We enjoy a Beautiful view of the Sea of Galilee. We then descend to Yardenit site, on the bank of the Jordan River – the nearest place to the baptism of Christ by John the Baptist. We climb to the Golan through Mevo Hama and observe on the borders triangle – Jordan, Syria, Israel. We travel through the southern Golan Heights through the center of the scenic Golan basalt, unique and special and beautiful rocks formations. The Golan is a region of beautiful, wild and open nature. We visit Katzrin – the capital of the Golan Heights and the ancient synagogue in the place. Finally we go to Mount Ben Tal – the head of an ancient dormant volcano of 1000 meters, which allows a look into the far horizons to the Syrian Hermon, the Golan Heights, Lebanon and Galilee.
A TOUR TO THE DEAD SEA AND MASADA
Masada is derived from the word Metzuda – “fortress” – is located near the Dead Sea in its southern part. It’s a special mountain at an altitude of 500 meters above sea level, and is a fascinating mix fort and palaces left for us by King Hordos more than 2000 years ago, along with the enlightening story of the last rebels against Roman regime. They lived and fought against the Romans in 73 AD and the story of their heroism is the most fascinating part of the site.
We continue with a trip to the lowest place on earth – 430 meters below sea level. This is where you can float and read your favorite book as part of the visit experience in one of the most beautiful sites in Israel. The Dead Sea was selected 9th in the global competition of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World and for a good reason. This is one of the world’s most beautiful natural gems.
